We enjoyed a first holiday of the year, visited another Mediterranean island and chalked up another country visited. We sensed the frustrations in the north in not enjoying the benefits which the south is getting from EU membership but then we saw the impact of somewhat uncontrolled development along the sea front in the south. You just hope the former gets sorted and the latter doesn't continue totally unchecked because it's a splendid country and there's pride in being Cypriot.
